Jack,
First off I hope you made it home safely and are back hard at
it. Just wanted to drop you a quick line, this Shawn I'm the guy
who you recognized on Friday but I didn't remember you until about
an hour later. I just wanted to take this opportunity to say thanks.
You are truly what this sport needs, you actually take the time
to remember the people you meet, and you are not just there collecting
a paycheck. I just wanted to let you know that you really made
an impression on me by taking that one little extra step. Anyway
I wish you the best of luck in your future endeavors, I will be
watching, and once the paychecks line up I will be sporting my
TEAM RHINO Gear. If you want you can e-mail me back at whoodey54@yahoo.com,
and I don't know if you have a myspace or not if so mine is www.myspace.com/whoodeybaby.
Once again thanks, you are truly a role model for this sport.
thanks

Calling
Jack London, Rhino, come in . . .
Isn't
it time for Jack The Rhino London to come out with something?
I know he's got contract stuff and endorsements
but I want to see Jack being himself - Jack is an intense mother
fucker, too, and very funny. I'd buy a Jack London dvd
myself but it has to have lots of Jack being Jack - yeah, yeah,
training stuff is cool but Jack is such a character, I like
it
when he let's his hair down, so to speak, and does a little
ranting himself. Fuck it, Jack, no prisoners this coming year.
I love it when he slices and dices the haters - just cuts them
off at the knees. I laugh until I'm about to fall off this chair.
See, with the internet comes the ability/opportunity for folks
to "talk" or correspond with other folks they would
otherwise
never have gotten to engage. So, boys being boys, now everyone
can be a hero. But maybe my whole perspective is
skewered; what do I know? I've only been walking the planet
for an ever growing handful of decades casting my lot
among other males in more disjointed circumstances that I care
or dare recount . . . so what do I know about other
"men"? Well, simply but adequately put, I know a whole
shit load of spineless jellyfish get to talk shit free of
repercussion so of course these miserable, powerless, bottomfeeders
do flex imaginary muscles and get to play John
Wayne but in the real world, the place they wake up within every
day, the pecking order goes unchanged and their
newly found "voices" left unheard. Such is true justice.
There are a lot of jacked-up, unstable personalities out here
amid "us" so they might talk a lot of trash to Jack
(I mention Jack because he does indulge them, and it IS pretty
entertaining to read) here on the internet but in the real world,
not a one of them would even say "boo" to the man.

Hi Jack,
As
2006 ends and 2007 nears, here's hoping that this
year has been fulfilling, despite any setbacks you
have encountered. In the coming year, may you realize
your goals and enjoy the people and activities that
matter most. May all aspects of life (athletic,
business, personal) be rewarding. Enjoy every moment,
and take nothing for granted. Thanks for inspiring
others; your work impacts many lives and betters the
world. Take care of yourself, Jack, and may you and
yours have a great 2007. Thanks for your time.
Sincerely,
Jeff Greenwell

Where
do I begin. I met Jack online at Getbig like many others. At
first I prejudged him as a muscle head just trying to talk trash
and plug a questionable federation. But after following some
of his writings, he seemed humble, modest and best of all knew
how to give it as well as take it.
So I decided to make liasion with him. I went as far as to send
him a Birthday card, in return Jack called me. The conversation
lasted over an hour. Boy was Jack soo far from the typical muscle
head. He was soft spoken, intelligent and actually seemed to
take a mutual interest in me as I did him. Since then we remained
in constant contact, with weekly updates of his training, injuries,
gossip etc. Stuff that I have kept "in the vault"
and in some cases have seen come to fruition.
The NOC......
Being a competitive bodybuilder I know what my brethren go thru
when it comes to training, dieting and overall contest prep.
Maybe not at the level they do but I have been there/done that.
Was Jack off for the NOC? Yes! Bodybuilding is all about learning,
what works/ what doesn't. If there was a true, definitive guide,
we would all look like Ronnie & Jay. Jack learned from the
NOC and has promised to come back that much better and that's
all that counts. Do not judge until you have walked in a persons
shoes.
Jack is a dedicated family man,(still don't know how someone
so ugly can have such a beautiful daughter...j/k) hard worker
and gets what he deserves.... pride/ happiness/balance/completion...whatever
you want to call it. Something that more bodybuilders/ people
need to have in their lives.
In closing let me say that I still to this day have not met
Jack but am very proud to call him friend. I look forward to
sharing the trials and tribulations of Jack "Rhino"
London.
Get on Board, it's gonna be fun!

Bro,
This is really what it is all about. It's about comraderie and
brotherhood. I was just hanging out over Jeff's house last night
and Will was there, up from Roanoke (he is a regular on the MetRex
World's Strongest Man competitions) and Will is a monster, 6'
6" and 400 pounds, and he said, "brother, at least you
got up there and followed through" and he is right on both
of our accounts. He and Jeff both said that time and again they
see guys bragging before a meet or match and then the day arrives
and they see who else shows up and then they just have their name
scratched - that's cowardly. At our best or not, you still gotta
beat us - we don't roll over, we don't bow down. To me, that is
the true test of a man - we step up, even when the odds aren't
on our side. ANYBODY can toe the line when it's their day, but
our day or not, we don't cower from nothing for nobody. And, let
me also say that you are definitely a battle proven soldier to
step right back out there in the hailstorm on Getbig and basically
say "give me your best shot but I'm here to stay, I ain't
goin nowhere." In my book, you get big respect - you are
as resilant as a rhino; you don't just knock on doors, you kick
them right in. You are a great role model for the young bucks
buying the mags and looking for someone to admire. You have character,
you're clever and witty, you're usually polite and cordial but
you don't take any shit, AND you display an old world work ethic
which is rare to find now a days. Keep pushing and finding ways
to stay in the limelight - I know if I were a kid, I'd rather
see and meet The Rhino than a whole list of bland IFBB boys. And
definitely, we redeem ourselves in Barbados (and have a lot of
fun to boot!).

A
few words from my great freind, and fierce competitor, Jimmy
Vest...Taken from his website. I think Jimmy and I are going
to team up for next years NOC and Pro show in Barbados.
"Jack
London has been in this game for God only truly knows how long.
In that seemingly endless time, he has
garnered quite the reputation as a consistent top 5 finisher
while being renowned for his trade mark hardness and
conditioning. I have seen this guy so hard that you thought
you could see the blood coursing throughout the network
of veins in his body. So low and behold this go round he bulks
up to nearly 300 pounds, then, dieting down, in the end
not all of his skin has time to bounce back and tighten up.
This isn't his usual method of doing things - he threw aside
a
lot of his tried and true tactics because he felt he needed
additional size to compete at this level and he ended up
falling a bit short of his usual amazing conditioning . . .
so fucking what? Shit eats at Jack a lot more than it does me;
he is actually pretty hard on himself. To me, Jack "The
Rhino" London brings a lot more to the overall game than
just
his physique, anyway. The Rhino is a character filled with Jack's
undeniable charisma and he sure proved to generate
a lot of anticipation and excitement for the PDI and this debut
show. Jack is a soldier who like his namesake (The
Rhino) is unafraid to charge headlong into the fray and suffer
whatever slings and arrows are volleyed at him to get his
message across. Just like there's no scaring Jack London away
from anything, you're never going to bring a Rhino
down with just one less than stellar performance. Jack is determined
to be the very best that he can be and I have no
doubt that with his abundance of indomitable spirit and will
power, he will succeed. How can you hate on a guy like
that? This is the kind of shit that made America great - strong
willed individuals who refused to lie down or surrender
and pressed onwards through whatever adversity never resting
until they obtained their goal. Everyone should be so
lucky to be as passionate about something in their lives. You
gotta root for a guy like that, and if he stumbles along the
way, you pat him on the back just to let him know someone can
relate and his effort isn't going unnoticed. And if you
can't relate to that, then fuck you, go back to your hollow
little world."

Elbosuni - "A comrades perspective of the Rhino"
"From
a bodybuilding standpoint, he's trained with many of the top
guys out there. He LOVES bodybuilding and is TRULEY passionate
about the sport. Jack loves to train; loves the athletes;
goes out of his way to help out as many people as he can in
the sport; I spent the whole weekend with him at the Bodyrock
show - so I've seen it first hand.
From
an intelectual perspective, Jack has 160 IQ. I swear to GOD,
I was amazed about how deep the discussions we were having got
to. There are very few people out there that are able to talk
as deeply and as intelcually as Jack. He REALLY knows how to
talk to people - even the police and the general public. He
handles himmself like a true gentlemen. I've seen the public
baffled at his charisma. A 265lb bald guy, with 21" arms,
shades, a bandanna, tatoos, and a cut-off out-classes most 3-piece-suit
business men in conversation and character!!!! I've seen it
with my very 2 eyes, and I swear to you, saying that I was in
shock would be an understatement.
Jack,
my good friend Phil, and I spent the weekend at BodyRock in
VA, and let me tell you; he's got a way with women! He's like
a women magnet. I personally think he's ugly as hell, and too
muscular, vascular, and old-looking to attract any decent sized
woman; but boy was I wrong!
Will
Jack London ever be a pro bodybuilder? Who the hell cares! There
aren't many people I've met in my life that are like Jack; for
real, he's a genuine, resonable, intelectual business-man, with
too many great characteristics to list; he's truley one-of-a-kind!!!
If haven't met Jack, all you have to do is walk up and say "Hi",
I guarantee you'll love em from that point on. If he doesn't
ever turn pro in his life, I'll tell it won't be because of
his lack of drive, lack of muscularity, lack of will, or lack
of brains to get to the top. Everyone can't have it ALL in terms
of bodybuilding or life - but Jack damn-near does come close.
Keep being YOU jack, who has ever met Jack and hated em? "
